This automated phone call is a scam and should be disregarded! Do NOT provide any information to this caller!
Your account is secure provided that you do not provide any information to the caller. If you did give out your account information, you need to call us immediately at 575 388-2511 and inform us of the situation.
Chino Federal Credit Union is NOT making these phone calls. We are currently working with law enforcement and other organizations to put a stop to these calls.
About Vishing: Vishing is the voice counterpart to phishing. Instead of being directed by e-mail to a web site, a telephone message asks the user to provide your account information. The call triggers a voice response system that asks the user’s card number or other personal or financial information. Additionally, the phone number displayed in caller ID may be forged. The initial bait can also be a telephone call with a recording that instructs the user to phone an 800 number or another area code within or outside of the United States. |
